Latina Pictures Ltd was set up in 2002 by Winston Azzopardi to produce television and feature film productions and also to facilitate and assist visiting film production companies in pre-production and principal photography in Malta.

Winston name and reputation in the film industry locally is synonymous. He has been actively involved in film productions since the shooting of Midnight Express in 1977.

Winston also set up the Malta Film Commision and became Malta's first film commissioner a post which he relinquished in 2002 to set up Latina Pictures. Winston is a co-producer on Troy.

 

During his term as commissioner and as a freelancer, Winston took a pro active role in attracting and facilitating projects such as:

At present Latina Pictures is a co-producing partner with Warner Bros on 'TROY'.

Rita Galea is undoubtetley Malta's most experienced production coordinator with over 30 years experience. Rita can rightly claim that she has worked on the majority of films that where filmed in Malta.

Rita has often been considered as the producer’s right hand. She has been involved in feature films and television projects such as:
