Schoolchildren's film on wartime Malta
A Maltese film about the harsh realities of World War II will be screened at Amsterdam's Cinekid Festival next weekend.

Eighty children from San Andrea School between the ages of 10 and 11 took part in the Latina Pictures film, called Malta George Cross, directed by former film commissioner Winston Azzopardi.

The film was shortlisted for the festival's Screening Club, the festival's screening facility that provides an environment for informative exchanges and business transactions.

The Cinekid Festival, which is in its 20th edition, is an annual film, television and new media festival which is attended by around 30,000 children.
