May through to July were busy times for LATINA PICTURES. Rita Galea was coordinating the production office for Steven Spileberg's 'Munich' film, whilst Winston Azzopardi was producing a project which is now in the final stages of post production. A documentary drama entitled ' 'Malta George Cross' The film is a period picture set in World War II which recounts the harshness that the people of Malta endured during the siege by the Axis enemy which pounded Malta with bombs and destroyed nearly every supply ship that tried to enter the Valletta Harbour. Malta was days away from surrendering to the Italians when Operation Pedestal's ships steamed into harbour bringing the much needed supplies that encouraged the Maltese to fight on. This heroic event also features highly in this documentary.
